Local Works Farmers Market Off to a Fabulous Start!

Manythanks to all the vendors who were brave enough to sign on with a brand new, untried farmers market! Their risk paid off - the first Saturday morning Local Works Farmers Market was a smashing success with plenty for sale and plenty of customers. As a result of the increased traffic, business was booming all over Bethlehem, making it the Saturday morning destination we had hoped for. Special thanks to our market coordinator, Heidi Boedecker, whose tireless recruiting efforts have turned this event into all it should be and more. The next market, planned for this Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm, should be even bigger and better with more produce and hot food for sale. Lyman View Farm and Pinestead Farm will be there and Biz-Z-Bee Farm is promising to bring strawberries, broccoli, cukes, lettuce, garlic, zucchini and beet greens.
